Purpose
This KB outlines the end-to-end process for deprovisioning long codes and toll-free numbers in the V5 portal. The primary objective of this procedure is to ensure accurate setup of customer-requested numbers, alignment with campaign requirements, and synchronisation with platform configurations.
Scope
This KB applies to all support and operations personnel responsible for managing number release within the V5 portal.
Procedure
Step 1: The Customer submits a number release/deprovision/de-hosting request via Zendesk ticket.
Example of the Number release request
Step 2: Remove the numbers from the Campaign in the 10DLC portal (This step is only applicable to the customers who use the 10DLC portal to manage campaigns)
Delink numbers from Portal campaigns in 10 DLC
Click on 10DLC on the left side of the V5 portal
A new page will open, which will ask to open the 10DLC portal in a new window.
Click on that, and a new window will open as shown in the screenshot below.
Log in with your V4 credentials on the 10DLC portal (https://platform.aerialink.net/) and switch to the 10DLC account as per the screenshot below.
Once switched to the 10DLC account > search the customers’ account and again hit switch to customer sub-account as per the below screenshot.
Once switched, on the top left side, click 10DLC > campaigns > search campaign and click on it.
Locate Campaign - Access the campaign interface and search for the specific number that needs to be removed.
Delete Number - Select the number, choose the Delete checkbox, and click Submit to confirm the removal.
Verify Status - Once the number is removed, ensure the number status is updated to Unpublished.
Step 3: Access V5 Portal
Once the number is removed from the campaign in 10DLC, Log in to the Aerialink V5 Portal, under Codes, click on Code Management. As highlighted in the screenshot below.
Switch to the customer’s account to ensure actions are only performed in the correct customer’s account.
Step 4: Search Numbers
Navigate to the Code Management section within the platform.
Enter all phone numbers specified in the customer’s request and click on format codes
Once we hit format codes, numbers will be formatted as per the screenshot below.
Step 5: Releasing a number
Select all numbers identified in the search.
From the drop-down menu, choose Unpublish to release the numbers and click on the “update selected” button.
For numbers to delink from a campaign in V5, update the campaign field to null to remove the numbers from the campaign.
(Note- before removing from the campaign, make sure that numbers are unpublished before removing from the campaign)
Step 6: Confirmation
Verify that all requested numbers have been successfully released. (Note- number unpublish and campaign removal by default remove numbers from the SDG & OSR end.)
Note - To check that the numbers are removed from SDG and OSR, first open Postman and use Syniverse:
SDG check steps:
From Postman, open GET “Syniverse T-Mobile Campaign Lookup” API (https://api.syniverse.com/engage/tendlc-services/v2/campaigns/C974AA1) for SDG as shown in the image below
Verify that all requested numbers have been successfully removed and are |showing Removed status in the SDG campaign.
Next, check that the number has been removed from AT&T.
Check the same in OSR using Postman.
Communicate confirmation to the customer by using Macro (AL - Deprovisioning Request Complete), ensuring we acknowledge the release and removal from the requested campaign ID.
Step 7: Release leased Number from Inteliquent Portal (Final Step)
After confirming that the numbers have been:
Unpublished
Removed from Campaign (V5)
Removed from SDG
Removed from OSR
Removed from AT&T
The final step is to release the number from the Inteliquent account to prevent ongoing billing.
Inteliquent Portal Release Steps
Log in to the Inteliquent Portal.
Navigate to Telephone Numbers.
Select Modify Active Numbers.
Under Modification Entry Method, select Paste Numbers.
Under Modification Type, select the Disconnect radio button.
Paste the telephone numbers into the Telephone Numbers field.
Click Next.
Proceed with confirmation to complete the disconnect request.
Step 8: Release TFNs (Toll-Free Numbers) from Inteliquent Portal
The same release procedure applies to TFNs (Toll-Free Numbers).
TFNs must also be disconnected from the Inteliquent account to prevent continued billing.
Deprovisioning is not complete until TFNs are released externally.
⚠ Important:
This step applies ONLY to numbers leased from Inteliquent.
Do NOT perform this step for BYON (Bring Your Own Number) numbers.
