Purpose
The purpose of this procedure is to define the standardized process for verifying whether a number is hostable for text enablement within the Aerialink. This ensures accurate number validation, avoids duplication of hosted numbers, and maintains compliance with registry requirements before initiating hosting requests.
Scope
This procedure applies to all Support team members responsible for managing and validating number hosting requests in the AL V5 platform. It covers all number types, including Local, Toll-Free, and international numbers, that are being evaluated for hosting eligibility.
Procedure
The Customer submits a number hostable or not request via Zendesk ticket.
Verify Hosting Status in V5 Portal
Check the number in the V5 Portal to confirm whether it is already hosted or not. If the number is hosted, inform the customer that this number is already in use by another party and therefore cannot be provisioned. If it's currently not hosted, ask them to share the latest LOA so we can provision the number for them.
Check Number Type in Ops Tool (Number Lookup)
Use the Ops Tool (Number Lookup (http://tools.int.aerialink.net/tools/number_lookup) to confirm that the number is not a mobile number, as mobile numbers are not hostable, but we can still ask for express LOA from the customer to host the mobile number.
Confirm Hostability and Request Documentation
If the number is determined to be hostable & and routed with another carrier network, request a Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the customer. Ensure the LOA is signed within the last 30 days, along with all the business details to be valid for Registry submission (Below is the sample LOA).
Submit to Registry
Present the valid LOA and relevant number details to the NNSR Registry (https://nnsr-portal.netnumber.net) to proceed with the text enablement process and resolve any hosting conflicts.
Upload LOA as per the screenshot below.
Once LOA is attached, hit the Create case, a new case with NNSR will be created as per the screenshot below.
Once the number is approved, follow the provision steps from the Aerialink Code Provision KB: Aerialink Code Provisioning – Convey. If the request is rejected, inform the customer with the same comment provided by another carrier in NNSR case.
