Using Campaign Filters in Analytics
How to use Campaign Filters and Notification Filters in Reach Analytics to isolate specific campaigns, channels, programs, or message statuses.
Overview
The Analytics tab has two sets of filters beyond the date range: Campaign Filters (for campaign-level data) and Notification Filters (for message-level data). Together they let you isolate exactly the data you need. This article covers each filter and when to use it.
Campaign Filters
| Filter | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Date range | Sets the time window for all data on the page. | Always set this first. |
| Campaign | Enter a specific Campaign ID to isolate one launch. | When you know the Campaign ID and want to see only that launch. |
| Status | Filter by campaign status: Processing, Parsing, Expired, or Complete. | To find campaigns that did not complete or are still processing. |
Notification Filters
Notification Filters apply to both the Campaign view and the Messages view. They let you narrow data by how it was organized in Reach.
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Department | Show data for a specific department only. Reach Admins can switch between departments here. |
| Program Category | Narrow to a specific Category Group (folder). |
| Program | Narrow to a specific program within the category group. |
| Notification Type | Narrow to a specific notification event within a program. |
| Channel | Show data for one channel only: SMS, Email, Voice, Push, or Letter. |
| Message Status | Filter by delivery result: Delivered, Opened, Dropped, Failed, Bounced. |
Combining Filters
Filters work together. You can set a date range, then add a Program filter, then add a Channel filter, and the charts and table will show only data matching all three. The more filters you add, the more specific your results.
To clear all filters at once, click the Clear Filters button at the top right of the filters section.
Practical Filter Combinations
| What you want to find | Filters to set |
|---|---|
| All SMS sends last month | Date: last month. Channel: SMS. |
| Failed emails from a specific program | Channel: Email. Message Status: Failed. Program: [your program name]. |
| Everything from one specific campaign launch | Campaign: [Campaign ID]. |
| All campaigns for one department in Q1 | Date: Q1 range. Department: [your department]. |
| Messages delivered to a specific subscriber | Switch to Messages tab. Use Subscriber Filters with their name or contact detail. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where do I find the Campaign ID for a specific launch?
A: Look in the Campaign Details table in Analytics. The Campaign column shows the ID for each launch. You can also find it in the confirmation screen after launching.

A: No. Subscriber-level filtering is only available in the Messages view. Switch to the Messages tab and use the Subscriber Filters section.
Q: Do filters persist if I close and reopen Analytics?
A: No. Filters reset each time you navigate away from Analytics. You need to reapply them each session.
Q: Can I save a filter combination as a report?
A: Not currently. Saved reports are not a feature in this version. Export the filtered data to CSV or Excel if you need to retain a snapshot.
